The United Nations has declared 2012 the year of “Sustainable Energy for All,” and clean energy will be a major focus at the Rio+20 conference. Wtihin this context, the “Symposium on Clean Energy Solutions for Brazil’s 21st Century | Opportunities and Challenges” will bring together leading Brazilian and international experts, as well as other key figures from civil society, government and the private sector to discuss challenges and opportunities for a 21st century energy strategy in Brazil, based on principles of economic efficiency, environmental sustainability, social justice, and democratic participation.
Immediately following the symposium, a press conference at 14h will launch the
publication "The Brazilian Power Industry and Sustainability in the 21st century| Opportunities and Challenges", written by experts from various organizations. The launch will involve co-authors. Click here to learn more. |
